How a foam mattress can improve your sleep life

Should you get a new mattress?

Having a right mattress is as essential as having comfortable clothes. You spend at least 8 hours a day with it, and its comfort reflects how you feel all day long. Good sleep is mandatory if you want to get the most out of your day, including work, recreation, and family time. A comfortable bed will save you from back pain or other discomforts.

If you were considering buying a new mattress, and as you clicked on this article, you probably were, here’s a short buying guide from me. I recently made the switch to a 12-inch foam mattress and would like to guide other buyers to make the best choice for themselves.

Foam mattresses are available in a variety of styles and sizes. Foam is used to create a soft level that adjusts to the weight of the people sleeping on it. This layer absorbs pressure and distributes it evenly across a large surface to ensure your muscles can stretch properly, and your body is relaxed.
The history of foam mattresses actually goes back to the space race and NASA times, where the space agency needed a solution to keep their astronauts secured to a bed in weightless environments, while also saving them extremely comfortable for the duration of the mission. Well, this means that if you get a new foam mattress, you will be enjoying a product developed by NASA with comfort and durability in mind, even in the harshest sleep conditions. Nice thing to keep in mind at night, isn’t it?

So, which one should you go for? There are so many stores and sellers online trying to prove their mattresses are the best on the market. Here are our reviews of some such companies.
We will list a few reviews of the products we are familiar with, but for more, you can check out our friend at FoamGlobes. They have reviews of various 12-inch foam mattresses with price comparisons, pros and cons, and other experiences they share. It’s a go-to place if you’re looking for the best 12-inch memory foam mattress for yourself. Check them out, and here are some of our recommendations for a smaller ($400), and a slightly larger ($800) budget.

Comfort Dreams

Comfort Dreams is a brand that produces foam in varying degrees of softness, which is useful if you are really specific about what you want. The price range is moderately steep at around 400 dollars, but their products include various material and size solutions, so you won’t need any custom fitting. They claim that their products are often used by fitness professionals, as well as people undertaking physiotherapy, for the foam’s incredible quality and softness.
Serta

Serta produces solutions of 10-inch memory foam that also comes with a very extended 20-year warranty. Just the warranty alone will outlast many cheap mattresses on the market, but keep in mind Serta products are priced very highly in the industry, at around 800 dollars. Though, they do give out bonus foam pillows with purchases, so we will give them that. Their new line, iSerta, is a collection of various intelligent foams in both king and queen variations.
